As with most scholarships available to students, there are specific eligibility requirements and application processes for the MAC Program.

Eligibility Requirements
High School Senior Year Eligibility for MAC Grant
(Note: Students must apply to the MAC Scholarship program during their senior year to be eligible for scholarship funds in their 3rd and 4th years of college).
- Be a senior at a high school in McLennan County.
- Be a resident of McLennan County.
- Have a gross family income of less than $50,000 (as reported on Free Application for Federal Student Aid — FAFSA).
- Students attending McLennan Community College or Texas State Technical College (Waco location only) may receive tuition assistance for all four years of college.
- Individuals not attending McLennan Community College or Texas State Technical College (Waco location) are only eligible to receive scholarships for their final two years of college.
College Student Eligibility for MAC Scholarship
To be eligible for MAC Scholarship for the 3rd and 4th year of college, the student must have:
- Been accepted into the MAC Program before beginning college (you must have applied during your senior year of high school. Applications are not accepted after May 1st of your senior year).
- Completed 60 credit hours at an institution of higher learning
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better
Application Process
MAC Grant Application Process
Application deadline is May 1st of the student’s senior year of high school.
- Set up an appointment with Mrs. Stabeno to complete your FASFA (if you need help).
- Complete and submit FAFSA.
- Complete the online application
Note: You will need to attach a pdf version of your SAR report from the FASFA website to this application.
- By May 1st, complete and submit the application and a completed copy of the FAFSA or SAR.
MAC Scholarship Application Process
Application deadline is December 1st of the student’s sophomore year of college.
MAC Scholarships are awarded at a ceremony held each year in July. The funds will be sent directly to the student’s college each semester.
- Complete and submit your renewal FASFA.
- Complete the online application.
- By December 1st, submit both the application and a one page educational resume or letter outlining the student’s future goals and present accomplishments.
- Participate in an interview that will take place in December.
- By June 1st, submit your letter of acceptance from the four-year college you have chosen.
- By June 1st of the end of your sophomore year submit a copy of your cumulative grades for your first two years.
- By June 1st of each year thereafter submit a copy of your cumulative grades for the previous year (this must be done in order to renew your scholarship for the 4th year).
