4th Annual Greater Waco Community Education Summit, “Designing Our Future”

The Greater Waco Community Education Alliance, a partner of Waco Foundation, is hosting the 4th Annual Greater Waco Community Education Summit, “Designing Our Future,” on November 16-18.
The Summit begins Wednesday evening, November 16, with an opening dinner, reception and keynote speaker from 5:30-8:30 p.m. The keynote speaker for Wednesday evening is Eileen Walker, MBA, Chief Executive Officer, Association of University Research Parks (AURP).
For the Thursday morning session, there will be a continental breakfast and presentation of Education Alliance reports. Following the morning session, Wes Moore, author of The Other Wes Moore: One Name, Two Fates, will give the featured address, courtesy of the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce. Wes Moore will also give a presentation at 7 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Waco as part of One Book, One Waco.
On Thursday morning and afternoon, there will be a variety of breakout sessions, including:
- University Research Parks Impact and the BRIC
- Building Bridges out of Poverty
- Talitha Koum on Brain Development
- Baylor’s Reading, Writing and Robots
- And many more!
The Summit will conclude on Friday with a breakfast, morning session, breakout sessions and closing remarks.
