Today’s Action Tomorrow’s Leaders

Waco is experiencing an extraordinary period of growth, development and optimism; and the results are being seen across the community in many sectors.  This growth is made possible because of the great leadership exhibited by those holding public office, executing public and private policies, managing local business, and volunteering in the nonprofit sector. In order to help sustain this momentum and maximize our collective potential, the Waco Foundation Board of Trustees is supporting an effort to encourage, promote, and enhance leadership development opportunities by participating in and providing staff and funding to a central leadership initiative, Today's Actions Tomorrow's Leaders.  This effort is a product of the Community Visioning Process and falls under the goal "engage leaders."

Today’s Action Tomorrow’s Leaders is an effort to evaluate community pathways to leadership and ensure that there are ample opportunities for training and service which adequately prepare citizens for leadership.  The program augments the work of existing program such as the Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Waco.  It is managed by a Steering Committee and supported by the Waco Chamber of Commerce, McLennan Community College and the Waco Leadership Forum.
