Martha Stuhr joined Waco Foundation in August 2020 as the Director of Finance.  She graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor of Accounting in April 1996 and obtained her CPA license in March of 2001.  Martha brings over 23 years of public accounting experience and consulting to her position.  She previously worked at Jaynes, Reitmeier, Boyd & Therrell P.C., and Pattillo, Brown and Hill, L.L.P.  She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of Public Accountants.

At the Foundation, Martha prepares monthly financial statements and reports the results to the Board of Trustees. She is responsible for overseeing the annual audit and Form 990 preparation, as well as creating and maintaining accounting policies and procedures and overseeing special projects related to financial matters.  She manages the development and implementation of departmental accounting systems and develops and monitors the Foundation’s annual administrative and departmental budgets.  Martha gains the confidence of donors and fundholders by conducting accurate and timely financial reporting, which ultimately maximizes the amount Waco Foundation has available to grant to nonprofits every year.
